7 Months Old

It's official, today my Dani Banani is 7 months old!

I don't have any stats to share and only a few stories, but I couldn't let the day pass without sharing Dani's age. 

Yesterday she went swimming for the first time.  I knew she would enjoy it because she adores the bath and shower and doesn't even mind the water on her head.  Unfortunately due a rip in the liner, we weren't able to take Dani swimming for the first time in our pool but she instead got to get in a swimming pool over at Aunt Holly's [pictures coming soon].

Beach Baby!

Yesterday she also started her stage two foods.  She had half a jar of turkey and sweet potatoes with a side of pears.  Yummy!  On a side note, we learned that carrots alone as a meal goes right through her.  Note to self, better mix those carrots with something.

In terms of skills, she's sitting up mostly unsupported (still wobbly); she babbles quite a bit with what sounds like she might trying to say mama and dada, but then again, that could be our imagination; she loves to play with her ball, reaching forward and grabbing it or using her legs to "kick" it up to herself; she loves the bouncy seat and is starting to figure out how to play the piano on it; she can stand in the bouncy seat also; she's quite the dance as well; she's using the sippy cup like a pro drinking watered down juice from it (try taking it away from her!) and on occasion some good old milky-milk; as one might expect, she loves peek-a-boo and for some reason she loves being startled; she can now put her pacifier back into her mouth (right side up) when she's ready to nap; and though this isn't a skill so much, but the girl likes to move around in bed starting out in one spot and ending up the opposite direction in a totally different part of the bed (babies, they like to do that!).
