Yesterday was phenomenal. We pushed the boundaries and had Lil Bit go to both her routine medical and dental exams yesterday, all in one afternoon.
The stats:
28 pounds (gained 3 pounds; which is the low end of the average for weight gain in a year)
39" tall (gained 3 inches which is greater than the 2" average per year)
20/40 vision which is good for a child her age
1 flu vaccine, likely the very last "easy" shot we'll have since it's now ingrained in her memory
Good teeth, she keeps them clean!
It's good to have her love going to the dentist...I hope it stays that way for quite some time!

Things Are Getting Serious
For some reason, lately, Lil Bit has acquired an uncanny logic and ability to guilt me into things. I'll have to step up my game to battle her now.
Sunday she told me that I had to play with her and when I gave her a blank stare, she said, very simply, "you haven't played with me all day mommy, you have to play cars with me now". I felt so guilty I couldn't say no. Also in the same day, she held an empty cup up and told me she had to have it to catch her tears in, so that I could see them. My heart dropped to my stomach...
Yesterday morning she looked at some photos of herself in the house. She asked if I still had those outfits or if I had given them to "Auntie Esa or Baby Jonah" to which I replied that I had not given them away because they were just too cute. She gave me a peculiar sort of look and told me to get rid of them, they were just clothes. I guess she won't be a pack rat like her mom.
I'm always taken aback when these things happen, but I just cling to the sweet things she says that reminds me just how young she is, like "granpa and granpas" instead of "grandma and grandpas" or target for guitar; spa-geg-eeee for spaghetti and toots-a-roodles forToaster Strudels.
