Today, the princess had her ears pierced at Claire's! She did amazing. I will never forget the look on her face as they did the first ear. There was no prep, so she didn't know it was coming, and as the first ear was pierced, her eyes got huge (I thought they might pop out). As the second was pierced, there was a stream of tears down one cheek but she had steeled herself. There was a bit of panicky whimpering which went away quickly as she walked off. I let her pick out an assortment of earrings to wear for after removing the initial studs. Those are butterflies!
